Affinity Credit Union

The Board of Directors would like to announce that at the Special Membership Meeting held October 6, 2004, members voted in favor of the amalgamation of St. Mary’s Credit Union Limited with PAGE Credit Union and Sask Valley Credit Union. The amalgamation of these credit unions will form Affinity Credit Union effective January 1, 2005. Members of New Community Credit Union did not pass the Resolution at this time. Voting took place at each location during the period of September 27, 2004 to October 7, 2004.

The joining of these credit unions will form the newest credit union in the province with over 25,000 members, 150 employees and branches in 11 communities. Affinity Credit Union will serve both urban and rural Saskatchewan from 13 locations throughout the province. Branches are located in the communities of Alvena, Bellevue, Hague, Laird, Osler, Rosthern, Sedley, Simpson, Watrous, two Regina locations and two in Saskatoon.

The three like-minded organizations are a good match as each share a focus on commitment to members, communities and culture. Affinity Credit Union will carry on the tradition of being locally responsive and financially strong.

We would like to thank members, Board of Directors, management and staff for supporting the shared vision to create a stronger more viable credit union for our members. If you have any questions regarding the benefits this will provide you, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
